In our “Nonprofits We Admire from Afar” series, we are excited to highlight organizations making a meaningful impact in their communities, especially those whose missions resonate with Quantum Leap Consulting’s dedication to empowering individuals and families. This week, we are featuring a nonprofit devoted to affirming and protecting Black Genius by fostering culturally affirming learning environments for Black and Brown children through the love and wisdom of their families.
At QLC, we believe in the importance of storytelling for nonprofits. As we work with organizations to improve their data collection and implement systems like Salesforce, we emphasize the need to capture and share data effectively. Whether you’re a new nonprofit leader or established in the space, remember: a clear, compelling story can inspire others to join your cause. Data helps you build that story, documenting your impact and setting the foundation for long-term success.
When we evaluate a nonprofit’s online presence, we look for a few key things:
- Mission/Vision
- Who They Serve
- Programs
- Impact Report
- Call to Action – Where to Donate
This week, we’re thrilled to highlight Village of Wisdom!
Vision
Village of Wisdom’s mission is rooted in the belief that Black Genius is intrinsic, limitless, and full of possibility. Their vision is to create a world that honors and activates individual Black Genius by affirming, protecting, and caring for Black and Brown children through the love and wisdom of their families. At the heart of their mission lies the commitment to dismantle systemic racism in education and replace it with culturally affirming learning environments.
Who They Serve
Village of Wisdom works directly with Black families and communities, empowering them to advocate for affirming educational spaces and practices that celebrate the brilliance of Black children. Their programs emphasize radical care, dreaming as a pathway to liberation, and multigenerational learning, fostering a cycle of knowledge and affirmation that flows through children, parents, and elders alike.
Programs
Village of Wisdom’s innovative programs blend community-driven research and practical tools to support Black families and create equitable learning environments:
