This week, we’re thrilled to highlight Project Scientist!
As we move through the giving season, we're dedicating space each week to spotlight nonprofit organizations making a significant impact on their communities. According to DonorBox, 30% of annual donations happen in December, with 10% coming in the last three days of the year. For the remainder of 2024, Quantum Leap Consulting (QLC) will highlight these inspiring nonprofits, focusing on their mission and the powerful stories they tell.
At QLC, we believe in the importance of storytelling for nonprofits. As we work with organizations to improve their data collection and implement systems like Salesforce, we emphasize the need to capture and share data effectively. Whether you’re a new nonprofit leader or established in the space, remember: a clear, compelling story can inspire others to join your cause. Data helps you build that story, documenting your impact and setting the foundation for long-term success.
When we evaluate a nonprofit’s online presence, we look for a few key things:
- Mission/Vision
- Who They Serve
- Programs
- Impact Report
- Call to Action – Donate!
Vision
Project Scientist is based in Charlotte, North Carolina, with a bold vision: “A future where girls* and women have equal access to pursue their STEM education, careers, and leadership aspirations, in a society that recognizes and harnesses the innovation generated by tapping into the full spectrum of gender, racial, and diverse identities.”
Who They Serve
Project Scientist has positively impacted over 24,000 girls, hosted 370 expeditions, and engaged 1,200+ women STEM professionals. They've also trained over 375 teachers and educators, equipping them to inspire the next generation of scientists, engineers, and mathematicians.
Programs

Through hands-on learning, mentorship, and industry visits, the program aims to build confidence and skills that will propel students toward their future careers.
